Subsea 7 France Specified Lindapter Lifting Points

Sectors: Oil and Gas
Applications: Moving risers on and off an oil rig

Summary:

Subsea 7 France specified Lindapter lifting points for the $200-million OFON 2 project.

Lindapter has designed and manufactured several bespoke Lindapter lifting points for Total’s offshore platform, 60 kilometres from Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Subsea 7 in France contacted its nearest Lindapter distributor for lifting solutions to lower the old risers off the platform and lift the new 300 tonne of piping onto the oil rig. The risers were replaced and extended in order to meet long term production requirements to accommodate production from new wells.

Lindapter's CE approved Type AF clamps were used as part of the pre-assembled solution due to their high capacity and because they are made from SG iron and hot dip galvanised as standard in order to withstand harsh offshore environments.

Lindapter’s lifting point applications vary from the rigging or lifting of equipment on oil platforms to museum exhibits, entertainment arenas and manufacturing facilities. Whatever the application, Lindapter’s durable products are valued for their quality and reliability, and provide contractors with a quick lifting system without the need for drilling or welding.

As well as bespoke lifting points, Lindapter also offer an off-the-shelf adjustable solution, called Type ALP, which adjusts to suit beam sizes and the orientation of the lift.
